Seasons vary among campgrounds and year to year at individual campgrounds early or late in the year it’s good to check the website through the link provided. The Nantahala and Uwharrie have horse camps the Pisgah has a group horse camp. It is advisable to check the suitability of a campground for an RV. The National Forests in North Carolina offer tent and RV camping in developed family campgrounds, undeveloped campgrounds and often in wilderness areas without designated sites.
